Hello, i am a graffiti writer from Russia.

Recently I took part in a social program of writing some kind of patriotic art in the walls of Moscow. My task now is to draw a piece devoted to victory of Russian soldiers in the WWII, where Russia participated from 1941 to 1945. The wall for the piece is located in Moscow State Univercity, it`s a wall of a little tecnical building made of bricks near the faculty of law. It`s nearly 2,5 meters high and 5 meters long.

Nothing personal, i do not take place in political events, but 9th of May - "victory day" - is a very big holiday in Russia, and veterans take place in colourful events all around the city.

So, I`ve got plenty much time to 9th of May, so I began to think of the future work. In Russia the Victory day is always celebrated with lots of awful artwork (especially posters) around the city - see:
http://www.tfo.net.ru/uploads4/2008_05_09_01_01_04_9may-016.png

http://live4fun.ru/small_pictures/img_12293226_13_0.jpg

http://www.askme.ru/user_area/filez/100000/1000/300/264/%F0%CF%C2%C5%C4%C13.jpg
so i decided to make smth different.

So, here`s the main part of my story :-)

I decided to make isometric pixel-art parade (and to draw it with semi-stencil techniks), and to put in the corner of image letters "795-799" (1941-1945 in hex-system, to underline the computer-art design of the image). I draw a little scetch, see:

But i understood, that i`m not a kind of pixel artist, so i think you will do pixel part of the image better.

So i need a pixel militery parade. Requirements:

It must be isometric
Soldiers should wear soviet-like uniform, cause it is a picture of war parades of 1941-1945;
It must be not more than 80x200 size, better 60x150, because its very difficult to paint a little pixels with aerosol paint(((

So that`s it. Please, help me. You will quickly draw it, then I will realise it for several days (of course with you name on the piece) and then you`ll have your work that is realised on the wall)

Thanks!

pls email me if you need: kitaioza@mail.ru

I will do it!!!
You'll only have to send me good photos of it.

60x150

What do you want in it, just soldiers?

Ok! I think Jalonso is the best) What photoes do you need? Parades? See:

some kinda

You know, it`ll be very nice if it`s a Mavsoley (red cubistic building on the red sqare) or Kremlin are on the picture, but picture size doesn`t allow such details, i think.

You can do it in the way you like, Jalonso, the only thing i ask is that it must be good-looking and fit the format - 80x200 or 60x150.

It`s even better to draw 80x250 or 60x180 to be sure that it will fit the wall, but in this case i will probably remove some pixels from the sides - ok, i think you undesrtand it.

Thank you so much for help!

Wow! jalonso, you are great!

But mb soldiers are too close to each other...ok, nevermind

The only thing to remake is Mavsoley, you didnt catch it`s more difficult. See:

http://images.yandex.ru/yandsearch?text=%D0%9C%D0%B0%D0%B2%D0%B7%D0%BE%D0%BB%D0%B5%D0%B9

So that`s the problem, i think nowbody will understand that it is it (

See my gallery or even click the see the video link in my sig. I know Red Square :p
There isn't much room to get the whole Mosuleum in, but will try to get more in.
This mean less soldiers though.
I'll post update later on tonight :)

Mb it will look better if soldiers stand a bit more far from each other, like this:

I dont think this way is the best, but you must understand, that it will be a picture on the wall and people will see it from 10-15 meters distance. So if we made soldiers standing close to each other, for spectators it will be as a strange mosaic or something like this and it will be very difficult to understand what is painted.

The ground is white (or light-grey), `cause the parade was held in 07 November 1941, so it was lots of snow.

Mmm.......When standing closely to Mavsoley, it doesn`t seem of built in blocks, but like it`s made of one big structure

And there was no fence(or how it`s called) like this in 1941). Anyway, with "/\EHuH" written, it seems more familiar to any Russian)))

But soldiers` positions look much better!

Mb more movement for soldiers?

The Mauseleum will never look right because there is no room for details.
The bigger space it takes up the less soldiers you'll have.

What does "Mb more movement for soldiers" mean?

Ok, i mean, we must find a compromise)

"more movement"...sorry, i wante to say - it seems like they stand, not move. Feet position, maybe..

Man, if the wall is bigger.............In black-and-white original gamma it would look pretty.............but not for this wall

And can you please post pictures without digits, a had a talk with the University representative, they do want traditional digits like 1941-1945, but I`ll have a future talk with them about it.

OK. Thanks a lot. Sorry, man, i really very grateful that you spend your time for this job. You have already do enough, so if you want you can leave everything as it is and let me finish myself, i will understand it, of course.
:-)

P.S. I will realise the work in april, when it gets a bit warmer (now it`d be a bad idea to draw anything on the walls), so you have a plenty of time)

P.P.S. I didnt think that there still are american rusophiles...very nice to meet such person)

You are sooooo lucky this isn't the 1950's. XD

Most people try to be Japanese, or maybe one of the 'druggy paradice' countries. You know, far off and whacky cultures.

Any particular reason for taking interest in the iron fisted country that gave the world skuds, and 'the wall'?

Let me guess... it all started with this...?

The one moment: i re-made a picture a bit; also a number is now "8668400", its number of russian soldiers killed in WWII.
