You need to look at each limb and make sure they are the same size on both size. Right now, his right arm and leg are way fatter then the left arm and leg. This is the most glaring and easy to fix problem, but there are more.

The pose has errors. The chest is facing at an angle, and the arms appear to be facing straight at the screen. Try raising his left arm a few pixels to account for the perspective. His legs need work, why would they be facing out at different angles like that? It is an uncomfortable way to stand. With both legs bent, he looks odd, if you straighten one leg, then it will look like he is resting his weight on it, and balancing with the other bent leg.

I think the head is way too squat and fat. The head is not a circle, it is an egg shape that is taller then it is fat. Yours right now is fatter then it is tall.

You have improved from your last piece, but not significantly. TehWexxl0rz edit in the old post still has a lot of value that you are not taking advantage of. For instance, look how TehWexxl0rz gave the guy elbows and knees. You are still lacking them. Note how he centred the guys weight over the legs so he looked balanced. Note how he made the head taller, so it wasn't all squat.

Good luck

It looks like an alien saw a muscley guy and tried making a robot in the same shape without looking at a reference while making it, then plopped a human head on it.

You could use to practice anatomy. Also, adhere to your lightsources better, it's just above pillow shading right now.

EDIT: Posted at the same time you did.

The new one looks better than the old, except the shading is now nearly non-existent, and the legs along with lower torso need a lot of work. The top part is mostly good on anatomy.

::EDIT::

Done what Evil said *I think*..

Before --> After ----> Bit more shading on the torso..

Tried to do an animation:

still Image:

the animation looks boring, and i don't really know what else i can add. Although, it isn't meant to be that big since it's just a small attack it still looks boring..

Any ideas are all welcome :]

What is he supposed to be doing exactly? Kicking in the shin? lol. or I assume more likely kicking earth or stomping.

Since stomping is what fits it the most I'll assume that's what it is and, if I'm right - you have it backwards - the raising the leg should be slow and the slamming the foot down should be the faster movement.

It is stomping.. and i have tried to do what you said..

I've made the going up have 3 frames and going down have 2 frames. I've also made the down frames have a smaller interval..

And Metaru, what are these anatomy problems you speak of?

Lol, sounded like a monk :P

thanks, Quake.

Quake, I think his left knee really needs to be raised and his left arm needs to be more similar to his right one. edit: sorry about colours. Here's a 'got carried away' edit:

oh and I was going to change the 'no neck' problem but I decided it was OK with the cartoony style.

Quake... think about what the body does for different actions. You're being really lazy with these animations, no one just moves one part of their body for an action. When you stomp, your leg doesn't just lift up then come back down... when you breathe then your arms don't just move up.If you want them to look at all decent, don't be lazy.

I think this one is better than before (in the animation point of view).. it's meant to be a small attack..

Not sure what i should do with the other hand though ]:

it's still very stuff and not very powerful. Here, i made a quick edit:

Now i only edited the stomping - the arm movement is still the same. but here's what I changed:

1 - the stomping leg while down
a bent leg doesnt give a very good visual for strength. when you stomp you're foot your leg probably is straight at the end of it. This gives a better  sense of the force of the stomp. I did keep the original more bent standing leg as the first frame of the stomp animation though.

2 - more frames for the foot rising.
you gotta put some OOMF into that stomp!

3 - as the foot rises the whole body moves
again, this conveys a better sense of the effort going into the stomp.

4 - As the foot hits the body is lowered 1 pixel from its original standing postion
The whole body is being put into this stomp!

Now, it could be improved a lot from where I have it now but it's a lot more interesting to look at then the little tap. As for the moving arm - I'd say do the same as the foot. have a few frames of pulling back time and then shove it forward quickly in 1 frame. Give it a good sense of speed and force. right now he looks like he's rather lazily just saying to the rock "go over there". If you want the other arm to do something maybe make it join the moving arm so becomes a two handed pushing motion.

Anyway, you are coming along but you do have to get into doing more complex animations :)

thank you, your edit and Comments were much obliged..
I think first, i need to try and get the stomp done :]

Here's what i did..

I also tried to shift the weight of his body back, so it looks like he's putting his whole weight in the stomp (i hope xD)

you're being way too radical raisinng that leg. you'd better smooth a bit the previous and following frame to that on, so i wouldn't look so unmatching.

I -think- Metaru's saying add 2 more frames - one right before and one right after the leg gets to its highest point.

I'd be a bit worried about the leg no longer looking as if it's slamming as hard but since another frame is being added before it too it could even out just fine.

also that shading jump on the arms when he stomps looks funky. he's not moving -that- much.
