Hey SupremeNoobLord, you live up to your name! 

If you submit a pixel art piece, make sure the preview image is 64x64 or less - the preview image will be the image you set as your avatar. Go to your gallery from your profile, and you should see a link saying 'use as avatar' (or something like that) next to the piece. There is also a similar link on the gallery page itself (for the submission).

you can always use someone's already submitted work as avatar if its avaliable to the public by the same method.
