Players Check Pixel Art Contest (Now till Aug 21st)

What is Needed:

I am in need of art for my website and would love to have Pixel Art that is crisp, clean and appealing to the eye. Specifically I am looking for something to give my site a unique flare instead of the simple text I currently have at the top of the page. To help you in your design pay close attention to the following information: 1.) This is a poker related site. 2.) The name Players Check is a term used in casinos, when someone runs out of chips and wants to buy more the dealer or the player yells out players check. 3.) The artwork will be used for the top of every page within the website. 4) The name Players Check should be used somewhere in the artwork and stand out. The dimensions should be around 100 pixels top to bottom (Vertical) and 300 pixels in length left to right ( Horizontal) , Length can be as short as 100 pixels and as long as 600 pixels  but the Vertical measurement should not be more than 100 pixels. Basically I am looking for something banner size to place on top of each page. If you need to referance the site the url is www.playerscheck.com (please note that this site has not been officially launched yet as I am currently putting it together and working out bugs in some of the scripts) (Remember: artwork must be poker related to be considered)

Prize:

The design that is chosen will be used on my website and the winner/artist will receive $200.00 US in the form of a check, money order or if you have paypal the money can be transferred that way. Also if the winning artist so wishes he or she will get first refusal on any new art projects needed. (The winning submission becomes the propert of playerscheck.com.)

Deadline / Contest Length:

The contest will run for 1 month (August 21st) or until 100 submissions are received, at the end of this time the winner will be announced.

Submissions may be posted here or e-mailed to the following address: artcontest@playerscheck.com

Thank you

im not sure if you want to have pixel art for that type of work, it might be a good idea to find someone with vectoring skills or something like photoshop banner guys

could you link us to a few styles you prefer?
just random pixel-images you have found and like the "look" of
because pixel art, like oils or vectoring, or any medium has a million different looks, and I don't want to waste time if my way of pixelling is CLEARLY not what you desire.

:-) Please?

Really I dont have a specific preferance...I would consider any images submitted from the style of Mario Brothers block style, Even pixel art like that used in habbos or something tekken like in style. I will not be the only person judging the entrys. I have brought onboard 2 others that are helping me with the site and will have them judge entrys as well, we will be taking each of our top 3 pics and vote from those 9 to reach the final image that will be used. Dont feel like you are wasting your time by submitting, even if your image isnt chosen you may be asked to do art work for other sites we are affilated with.

Im just going thru the Job section and I found this.

Maybe it is already over but anyway one thing (maybe it will help newbie people as reference in future) : 200 USD for webdesign is far too low!
And moreover - this is a challenge so the price should be even higher since you take the risc of getting nothing.

It seem like Playerscheck is trying to fool you and get a lot for nothing. Not very nice.

Zlothien483 - the problem is that in your age you either dont have skills to do the job right or you are good and then the price is too low for you.

Nothing about you being ignorant in it, everybody starts somewhere.
