well, im still nubby to pixelart. I'm making a sidescroller, and so, I wanted to do all the gfx by myself. I have no idea how to make actual "rocky" cliffs, so I threw this together. I really want to redo it and make good cliffs, but I have no idea where to look... any comments? tuts?



also, i saved as .png cuz i dont know whats so special about saving pixelart as .gif ...

The best way for 'How to do this' is search for references. And you are in luck: A lot of people have already drawn rocks like this :).

So there are examples enough! Study them, and try to see what makes them so rocky.
