Hey guys!

I've been trying to make a pixel art 100x100 icon for my LJ and I've been going through various ideas until I finally settled on this one - a calligraphy brush and Japanese-paper-screen-style backdrop.

I'm having trouble withe brush - it needs improvement both in lineart and shading. Any suggestions?

Okay, developed the thing a bit further:


Bumped the colour count down, used the handle colours on the brush-hairs, added ink stain on the tip... what do you guys think? Is this submittable?
