Hello pixel artists, my name is Albin Engström and I'm looking for someone who would be interested in working together to create a NDS title. What I'm looking for is someone with a genuine love for games and who isn't afraid of a little work. My contribution of skills to the project will be the programming. All members will have equal say in the design/idea process. Here's a 7 day game I made from scratch for a "warmup" competition: http://gameawardswarmup.se/competition_entries/196/competition_entry_files/103.bin Keep in mind that it was made in 7 days(including the level editor!), it's filled with potential bugs and annoying gameplay (such as the jumping), but it should prove that I am able to fulfill my position(yes, I can make nds games). Like i said this will be a collaboration, so expect no payment before hand, when the game is finished we seek out potential publishers and split the money equally, or we create a prototype and try to gain some money in advance. Whatever you want, personally I don't like getting money involved in the process of making games, but who dosen't like food right?.. :P If you're interested or have questions email me at: albinplusplus@hotmail.com And don't forget to provide a link to your portofilo. I hope I'll hear from you soon! //Albin Engström Edited by Blackroot - 21 May 2009 at 9:24am |

Thanks, but it seems I was to hasty.
I got response from some great artists but it turns out you need to use the official nds sdk to licence games for the nds, and lets just say that people without alot of money and an office are equal to nothing in the eyes of nintendo.. I sort of surprised at how rejecting nintendo is to small developers, maybe some sort of backwards "quality control". Their loss! |

Hey, sorry to hear how things turn out in the end... I say don't give up, there are many ways to get your creations done without having to go mainstream... you can still make commercial games, just go indie.

What about submitting a game via a company with that kind of appearance? If you've already completed a decent, fun game they might be willing to get in touch with nintendo on your behalf for a cut of the profits.
