Team name:
John Wilkes Booth

Project name:
Moldering

Brief description:
Immersive, two-dimensional, exploration-based platformer. The game includes a physics engine used for puzzle solving and interactions.

Target aim:
The game will be released freeware for the PC. But, if we get enough of a demand will convert the code from Java to C# using the JCLA and will release it on XBOX live arcade.

Compensation:
This is a small freeware indie PC release so we won't be making money from the project. However, I am willing to fund this project myself. Since it isn't going to make any money there's not much I can spend. But, paid work is paid work. I will be willing to pay .25-.50 cents per object that you create that we want. Take a look at our style in the screenshots provided and make sure to mention this in the hiring page. It says the work is volunteer, but you can ignore that. Submit an Application

Technology:
The engine has been written from scratch in Java. At this moment it is over 10,000 lines of code. We working on physics at the moment.

Talent needed:
A couple of artists who can work in 2D. We have a style already so the only requirements is that you can meet that style and follow through on any individual objects you start.

Team structure:
James Daniello - Lead Design/Lead Programmer/Public Relations/Musician
Zack Zebrowski - Public Relations/Graphics/Level Design/Conceptualization
Marci Zebrowski - Graphics/Concept Art/Conceptualization
Bobby Tew - Concept Art/Conceptualization
Yo-Yo-Master - Graphics
Sobieta - Physics Help
Louigi Verona - Music

Additional Info:
It is highly recommended that you view the photo archive to get a feel for the graphic style before responding. Anyone interested in contributing is invited to give it a shot. Since the work is volunteer there is no reason why we can not give anyone who wants to try out a chance.

We've been working on this project for a while and are committed to its completion. If anyone is serious and wants to run a copy of the engine we can build it and send it to them.

Feedback:
ANY

In all fairness we aren't selling this game. The money is coming out of my pocket and isn't going to be returned. We're really looking for who just want to work on a meaningful project as a hobby. I'll be happy to throw them what I can on top of that. Who knows, maybe I'll find some interested people, maybe not. Either way this isn't a corporate or commercial gig.
