Pixel Joint Forum: Help me with my avatar

   Hi. My name's Rob, and I've decided to actually try to do pixel art. I've only tried to make crappy RPG bases in the past, and never really went anywhere with it all. I have no knowledge of correct spriting, but I TRIED to use common sense to shade it and keep a fixed light angle.

I was looking to follow half of the pixel joint commute and make an avatar that matches the name I chose. Stardog happened to be the name, and I don't think this looks like a "stardog" but.. Hey, I tried. :(

This actually took me a few hours to do, and I'm obviously not done. I want it perfect before I use it. I'm not uploading anything I'm not 100% proud of. 

Tell me what I should change to make it stand out more and look generally nicer. I tried to choose a few colors that worked together and weren't radically different. Not sure how good my choices were.. I was originally thinking of making a sky/planets/ect in the torso of clouds. Hoping I can make better arms and leave room in the middle of the torso or something..

	fyi, Pixeljoint avatars are 64x64px or smaller. Otherwise is nice. The colors are ok too. The only thing I see is the lineart is very dirty. This image is from the noobtorial thread.

	Oh.. Thanks, man. :) I knew it was dirty. I'll clean it, no sweat. Nothing wrong with the arms? I wanna clean them up and work on the shading a bit, but I'm not sure how.. And the legs are a whole 'nother beast. lol I'll probably just use the head as an avatar or something.
