![]() Topic: Question about paint programs for MacsPosted: 05 July 2009 at 4:44pm |
|
I noticed there's a lot of paint programs out there for pixeling. However there seems to be very few of them that seem to have a halftone pattern palette for dithering. In my search though, I couldn't find any of them that were on the Macintosh.
Does anyone know of any paint programs for the Mac that have this particular feature? |

Thanks for pointing that one out to me. Is that the only one for Macs though?

As far as I can tell. Just about the only pixel-art-specific apps for Mac are Grafx2 and Pixen. I don't remember if Pixen has the feature you asked about, but it's been a dead project for years and it's horribly buggy. Expect regular crashes resulting in data loss. It wouldn't be worth using even if it did, is my point.
Side note: if you're using Leopard, Grafx2 will crash on launch. The bug's been reported, but in the meantime you'll have to download an older version. |
