Hi there, I'm new to the whole pixel scene, and as I want to begin to create my own pieces of pixel art, I have been trying to determine how people create isometric grids in the software they use. I am currently very familiar with Macromedia Fireworks, but found it very difficult to create a isometric grid with the right degrees for each angle. I was just wandering if any you guys from the forum used Fireworks to create isometric pixel art, and if so, how do you create an isometric grid template?

If this is impossible to do using fireworks, is there an easy way to set a grid up using MS Paint? I have searched the forums for the answer, but as I didn't find any firm answers, I thought this would be the best way.

Thankyou for your time.

I'm a new too, and I use the grids for my drawings, basically I just do it with a copy paste method, i start off hand drawing in what ever size cube i want my grid to be based on, then copy paste it a few times, then select the larger section of the grid and keep on till the whole thing is full, it doesn't take very long since you can select just highlight a bigger and bigger section

also in my free time i sketch on iso graph paper in class, a quick google should yield several site to print off you own, but i find this helps a whole lot when i finally sit down and work on my drawing on the lappy

hope that helps
