Hey People!

We are doing a post-apocalyptic tower-defense game.

Short Story:

The world began a war in 2012. They used all the bombs they had. Atomic, chemical, viruses, etc.
The worlds population was almost completely wiped out. Animals and Humans are mutated and agressive.
Your goal is to protect a small group of survivers in an outpost in the wastelands. Monsters are coming to kill all people.
You can build towers from the scrap you can find on the battlefield.

It is a simple game with two interesting points:
1. Setting: Post-Nuclear world, raining often, dark and creepy
2. Assembling your own towers! Combine the parts to create your own!

We are 3 coders in the moment and are looking for a pixel-artist to make monsters and towerparts, wich can be found on the battlefield.

In the moment we have monsters 16x16 pixels small. Bosses can be 26x26.
Perspective is 'from the top'.

We are thinking about using another perspective to have bigger sprites on the screen. Isometric view from 45 degrees.
That will give as monster sizes 20x40 pixel and bosses 26x52 pixel.

What do you think?

Who we are:
Small team of german coders, doing a hobby project.

Notice:
No worry, the game will be published in multiple languages!
It will run on windows, linux and maybe mac-systems.

Send a PM in this forum or write to
thomas (DOT) muders [AT] gmx ((DOT)) de

Actual progress and Screenshot of the game:
We are finishing the coding hopefully in three weeks.
This is the actual game with our Coders-Art ;-)

If someone is interested, we can send you a working (german) demo!

This looks like an interesting game. I will try a few things, to see if you guys want my style and to see if I want to do this. So, I'll get to work on it now. Also I cannot do isometric monsters. I can do iso-buildings but that is about it. Sorry.

Edit:
Done, is this what you wanted? Do you want a different style/color/ect?
I can get rid of the white that is on there also, this is just a example.

Hi JediDude,

thanks for your reply. The sprite you did look's like a flying spaceship.
There are three types of towers: Biochemical, Computer-Controlled and Mechanic towers. (And a standard tower)
Maybe you can try these?

Do I use the same size for the towers as I do for the monsters? Or is it something else for towers? I will get to it once I get home.

I think towers can be 16x16 when viewd from top.
Or (prefered!) from 45 deg. with a resolution of 16x32.

They look really good !
In the moment, we are thinking about using isometric tiles and a view from the side. Can you try to make these towers from the side?

I made the mechanical tower.
Also, I can get rid of the white, I just didn't have time.

Sorry that the rest aren't done. I was pretty busy the last few days.

Edit: I am having a lot of problems with the others. 16x32 is just too small for me. I am not too talented in isometric and everything I make in that will not have a very high standard.

I made a slightly different version wich fits the engine:

Can you do all towers in this format?
