I suppose you have this object in front of you? (if not, please do!)
Look at the shading on paper and bottom, how color is affected by how many times light goes through the plastic, etc.
Not an easy subject, but a good exercise!

thanks, adding some more colors for the plastic is a good idea, gonna do that...
EDIT:darn, can't get that to work, when making the plastic darker if it goes trough the plastic 2 times just makes it look like the back face is darker :-/
