![]() Topic: [Paid] Pixel artist need for flash game.Posted: 15 November 2009 at 4:12pm |

I am currently working on a flash game for kongregate.com and
originally planned to do the artwork myself, but found my lack of any
talent to be quite the hurdle.
What I need is someone to draw a set of sprites and some tiles for my game. There are about 30 different sprites that I would need, they wouldn't have to have very animated, just a standing pose with 2 or 3 frames would be sufficient. This will be a paid position, kongregate gives ad revenue to the developers of a game and I would be willing to split this revenue with an artist, we can negotiate details on our own, as I really don't know whats fair or not fair. I have no idea how much money to expect to earn from kongregate so I cannot give you an estimate, I'm sorry. My email address is lumerondo@gmail.com and I would be happy to answer any and all questions either in this thread or over e-mail, whichever is easier for you. I don't have a website or previous projects, but I have the code mostly written out, the engine just needs to be debugged and then all I need to do is program the levels. Here's a simple screenshot from what I've drawn myself, I'm just including this to give an example of what type of game this is. I look forward to hearing back from anyone interested, and thank you for reading this. ![]() Edited by GrossDude - 15 November 2009 at 4:15pm |

Hmmm... do you have a slightly working demo available? I find jobs that are not vaporware appealing (too often have I sprited for someone who decided to not finish their project).
What kind of style and quality are you looking for? Please PM me (or post here) as many details as possible as to what you want sprited (I assume Goblins lol) and basically anything you can think of like what your vision is for the game. Edited by CrapFactory - 15 November 2009 at 4:37pm |

I have a semi playable demo already done, there is little human interaction at this point, but you can watch a thrilling battle between two teams, which, at this point, have to be hard coded in. I don't have a place to host the swf file, or else I would link to it. As for style, it really doesn't matter to me, just as long as it looks nice. I guess I should have told more about the game in the OP, but I will do so in this post. Its a fairly simple game, the player collects characters which he uses to put on the grid. Each character has its own set of abilities, statistics and AI. Once the player has set the characters on the grid he starts the battle and watches the outcome. Its nothing too fancy, but I believe that it would be a fun game. Edited by GrossDude - 15 November 2009 at 4:43pm |

I've been completely busy the last few days so missed a bit. What's the status? The same as before?
For some reason I can't open the swf you sent. I have no idea why. EDIT: Reinstalled my flash player and it worked. Edited by CrapFactory - 21 November 2009 at 5:09pm |

Ok I found a place to upload, I still havn't fonud anyone who said they'd help, so the offer is still on the table. Here is what I have so far.
http://ducklesspond.99k.org/Letsdoitagain.swf There are a few bugs but the game itself works for the most part. To play, just click on one of the red buttons on the top row, and then click on a unit on the button to select it. Next click on a tile in the first two columns to place it, when you've placed your units, hit the start button. Edited by GrossDude - 24 November 2009 at 8:05pm |
