Revision required for alice in wonderland's cat

REASON: Your piece was not able to gather the score needed for inclusion in the gallery.

This is not to say you cannot resubmit the piece in the future after revising it. We encourage you to participate in our
forums which include a Work in Progress (WIP) category. This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge and feedback for your pixel pieces before submitting them for approval on the main site.

If you feel this is a mistake please post a FRIENDLY message in the Resources/Support section of the forum and we'd be happy to discuss it with you. Responses to this issue within the gallery site will be ignored.

Revision required for Luustic.com

REASON: Any art you post should be PIXEL ART! Pixel art implies that each pixel is placed by hand (no filters, paintbrushes, gradient fills, etc).

This is not to say you cannot resubmit the piece in the future after revising it. We encourage you to participate in our forums which include a Work in Progress (WIP) category. Dithering patterns on the chests look like girls were color-reduced from scans rather than pixelled from scratch. Maybe mods thought in that way.

@ JoCh: its likely what AB says.
You can help by supplying the reference picture you (probably) used as inspiration, and any progress stages you might have kept.
When uploading pieces drawn from a reference, it's always recommended to link to it.

Besides, you should have started a new topic... ;)

I think some moderators have lucidity problems on pixeljoint...
Maybe it should be a good idea to change the moderators list and choose people who really can see if a picture is handmade...

For exemple, I submitted some pics I made when I was yound, using old computer and a lot of pics were "Revision required" because of "no handmade" !
I think someone who really knows the pixelart can see if a pic is handmade or not, just see zoom...
Anyway, I explained it is handmade 100% but this moderator can't believe...

Good moderators make good website...

Thats why PJ is a good site.
Also, the pics you made when you were young, I gotta agree that your stuff is great, but those pics arent. I mean, they cant just take everything on the gallery. Enough people voted "No" for those pieces (because old or not, and even if you can make better quality stuff now, the quality of that cat isnt that good) to be rejected. I also see that you argued quite a lot with the mods on the piece's page... You should stop being so nervous at the fact something you made 20 years ago was rejected and just move on.

One thing to remember, also, is that when a piece is rejected due to reason "Your piece was not able to gather the score needed for inclusion in the gallery" it is the community at large that has voted to not allow its entry, not the moderators.  The mods here have to make a lot of tough calls but this is a case where they abide by the voting memberships voice.

mmm...
in fact I didn't understand that gallery is a sort of competition with vote...
I just understand that now.
I believed that all pixel art can be submitted.

When we vote, we try to see not only the quality of each piece, but we compare it to other pieces by that author. If someone does good stuff and submits a piece of art thats not as good as his other pieces, we usually vote no.
