Hi everyone,
I'm a French student who is currently preparing my bachelor's Degree in web development, and development doesn't mean necessarily graphic, so this is my weakness, and I hope my English is not so bad.


My project

I have an internship of 18 weeks to the end of the year and the best way to find one is to have a portfolio. Being especially attracted by the javascript (and on a personal website you can't really show your PHP skills), I wanted to make an original site, and I'm pretty proud of it. As you can imagine, only the design is missing (but all is ready in CSS and JS).
I've always been fascinated by the retro-gaming (NES ans SNES particularly), few weeks ago, GMail pop out new theme, including "Hight Score", and I fell in love with it. It's why I want a similar theme, a portfolio needs to be personal, I will not probably designing it, but it have to be like me.

It's just to give an idea of what it could be. 4 parts (Home, CV, Portfolio and Skills) and each one are like a level of a game (here it is clouds, hills, spaceship and a city, but it's just an example).

So I'm looking for someone who can make it real, who know how to make sidescrolling graphics (especially in sidescrolling simple and beautiful, like ClassicVania).
I don't think that it is so difficult, as I said, I want it very simple (more detail with interested people of course).
No knowledge of HTML/CSS is required, It's my part (and most is done in javascript also).

I think you don't understand (or read) my request, and I think you don't understand what pixel art is.

the reason i am not showing my old is because it is not mario looking and so i did your example. and sorry for the 2 or more reply i didn't aim for that.

In fact, this size is for inside the bloc with the less details possible (there is text in the bloc), but the border can be as your wish and the background too.

I like the fact that you know what you want, and you can give examples and stuff, and not just leave all the work to the designer to get what the client wants.
