Okay, so I'm making a game styled to look like something right out of Gameboy.
I know the basics such as standard GB resolution, and four tones of monochrome gray.
But I'm sure there's more info I need.
One thing I've been wondering about is this...
I know that when it comes to sprites like characters, the character itself is made of only three tones, and the forth is for transparency around the character.
But what about square and rectangle objects that fill out their whole space value of 16x16 or 16x32 or whatever? Could I use all four tones for the sprite object since it doesn't need transparency?
And what other tips and rules should I know of Gameboy? Edited by Ryona - 03 February 2010 at 1:14pm |
