I started with this weeks competition, but soon understood that I couldn't finish that on time because I was too abitious, so I decided to use the car that I made for another piece.

Here it is!
NEWEST:

OLD:

I would like some feedback, before I take it further. I have used gameboy pallette. I think about adding a small up and down animation for the car, movement to headlights and animating the smoke that comes from the fire that's on top of the hill.

C&C is more then welcome!

looks nice... maybe darken the sky, now it looks like daytime which ins kinda strage if the light are on

for animation, maybe this could be a neat idea...

its cheap and dirty done now but with further refining it could look quite good i guess... but u should first rly finish the piece before u get to that, because it would be one hell of redrawing frames otherwise

Is it supposed to be night (headlights)? It's not obvious because of the highlights on the car, look very much like there is sunlight from the upper left. Bg is not dark enough either.

Police light anim is nice, but I'm not sure this style would be easy to animate more than that. Anyway try to get the still as good as possible before animating.

onek: Cool idea, I'll see what I can do in the future

Manupix: Yes, it supposed to be night, I try to darken the sky, but keep the car's hood still visible. And the light that is highlighting the car comes from the lamppost on the left (hope I can make that more understandable).

EDIT: How rude of me, I forgot to thank you, so.
Thank you for the comments!

Yes, I understood that after posting (and couldn't login to edit for a while).
So yes, you should make that lamppost light more obvious, on the car, ground, post itself, cast shadows.

I tried to look for night pieces with cars, such as this (this artist has others), I'm sure I've seen more and better but couldn't find where.

You're welcome!

Ok, added other lampposts and electrisity line. Darkened the sky, made stars and added some shadows. Did some other small changes.
This is the new one. How does this look now?

Can someone tell me,should I texture the landscape, and if I should then how?

I was more thinking of a light change.

Landscape would be mostly black with a few undistinguishable features of the next dark tone.

Your anim has a frametime issue: it's set for 0. Each browser or viewing software will render that differently.
Firefox makes it 0.1", since it looks good I'd recommend that.

Manupix: Thank you! You helped me a lot. I used your image as a quick reference.

Here is the result!
