Mmk, basically ever since I moved from WinXP to Win7, my tablet hasn't been responding properly in GIMP. At first I thought it just didn't recognise it; the little cursor is there but not the shape of the brush.

It's driving me nuts, I've been playing around with this menu here

but to no avail. From my hours of googling, this is all I have seen recommended

I did stuff with the settings in that last menu (Y and X axes and stuff) and did actually manage to draw, but only either on one vertical line or at ~40px up and to the right of where my cursor actually was.

My tablet is a 6x8" Genius, though I've seen the same problems with Wacoms through my interwebby travels.

Or, since I only use GIMP for animating and transparency in pixel art, should I just download Inkscape instead? :|
