I've had the idea for a while, and I think I'm ready to go forth with it. I'm just one person now, but my goal is to assemble a team (or at least get another person) to collaborate and create this game. There is no pay involved, just the glory that comes with... making a game about The Young Ones.

The one thing I cannot do is put the game together. Code and all that. It's not so much that I am not capable, but it is that I don't have the engine or guides or any idea what language to use. What I can do is make game art/sprites/all that jazz, write dialog, and generally come up with ideas for new and funny stuff (well, Doc Martin boots is going in the game, as well as the show for young adults). So, really, any position is available. I need all the help I can get.

The basic idea of the game is that you choose from one of the four main characters from the show and play through levels with different goals. Rick needs to try to spray paint certain spot of the house with anarchy symbols, or Neil needs to find his stolen lentils, for example. The humor, aside from the obvious jokes, is that the story lines of all the characters weave together. Maybe Mike stole Neil's lentils to try and make Neil buy them back, and maybe Rick spray painted an anarchy symbol onto the bag of lentils.

The only qualifications are that you can work for free. I don't care whether you've seen the show or not, I'll find reference images! The point is, I'm not skilled enough to do it by myself, have no portfolio or prior work to show, and have never made a game. But I have the motivation, artistic talent, and ideas to drive the project. Now, I ask you, PixelJoint community, will you help this idea become reality?
