Very sloppy pixelling. Clean it up especially the edges. Remember that just because its a 'thing' does not mean proper anatomy doesn't apply.
Find yourself a pic on google where the pose is this way or use posemaniacs.com to find one.

Placing a purple piece on an unflattering reddish BG makes the art look worse than it problably is.

All art must be sold to the viewer ;)
