Well, I am not necessarily new to pixel art; however, I am new to dithering, so I need to know your opinions.
How does the dithering look on this?

Note:
I have worked on the left part of the grass; ignore the rest :P
Edit1:
Note2:
Also, you're probably going to say something about the random lights away from the moon, there will be stars ;)

You have 5 shades of green, which is enough to make a nice grass texture.    If you want to practice dithering, try picking 2 or 3 colors.  One light green, one medium green, then one dark green will do.   You really want a low color pallete, 4-16 colors, if you're going to dither.

The scene set-up is good.  I'm curious about the light source that's in to the dirt.  Maybe you will add detail what's underneath the grass like hidden treasure, spider, skull, an ant farm.  For the background, you can probably add some hills, or mountain to put a little more detail in this picture.  The moon can also have a smiling face or have ET fly across the moon, or have a witch fly across the moon.  I'm just throwing a few ideas that I think would make this picture more interesting.
