Hey guys,
Strange request, but does anyone know of an appox 2gb, screenless mp3 player that I can listen to when its plugged in? Im constructing a gift for my brother that will play old time radio shows. Ive modified an old antenna (that kinda looks like this http://www.godarusa.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/.pond/abc.jpg.w560h420.jpg) with headphone jack speaker inside and 3 buttons: back, play, and forward. Hopefully I can add an analog volume control as well. He should just be able to plug it in, press the play button, and it will play some random old time radio show. But most screenless pocket mp3 players small enough to dismantle, solder, and fit inside the antenna, have a headphone jack that doubles as its USB connection, so its impossible to run off AC power while playing. Or the player simply wont operate at all while the player is charging. Can anyone recommend an mp3 player that I can use for this project? Edited by Pulp London - 12 June 2010 at 1:21pm |

Try to find one of the old type of USB sticks mp3 players. They tend to have really little memory, but in your case that won't matter I guess. Oh apparently they make them in gigabyte sizes nowadays. Edited by snader - 16 June 2010 at 5:18am |
