there are plenty of tutorials available- and plenty of artwork at the site to look at and learn from. you can't be imbued with the ability to sprite- it requires many separate skills that you must learn as an artist. You need to learn about line and form, shading, color theory, et al. this requires training as an artist, not some special knowledge that can quickly be imparted to you. just study and practice, a sensei won't help (and I also doubt anyone capable of helping is willing to devote their time to training a young padawan- especially with the availability of the aforementioned tutorials and artwork)
