I have a big problem for my project - I don't know how to do the grass tile ! I've looked at a lot of tutorials and all of them say that I need to put strands here and there. I do that, but it looks awful... If you can, please give me a tip or two.

Your best bet would be to post the grass tile you've got so far in the WIP forum and get specific help. It's almost impossible to answer such an open-ended question as "how do I make a grass tile", which is why you haven't gotten any replies.

It's the usual grass mistake: far too busy / noisy.
You have to leave more empty space, and / or make several tiles some of which would be a pure flat color.

Check existing games / mockups: anything between this (on the acceptably busy side) and that (on the low noise side) would do.

I think that's nonsense. You can have busy yet goodlooking grass:

And for instance in older RTS games such as warcraft 2 and red alert 2, grass tends to look fairly noisy too.

I think though, that your canvas is too small to use, how about 32² or even 64²? Also, your colors could use a tweak, I didn't notice the 3rd color untill I zoomed in.

nonsense

That bad rly?

I did think to include links to some busy grass tiles, and did not.
Busy grass is more advanced, and the usual beginners mistake is pixel pudding backgrounds more than empty space.

Also, I really don't like busy grass even well done. There.
