Does anybody out there have a free GIF Animation program they can recommend?? I'm having trouble getting one that isn't either a trial program, loaded with spyware, or just plain crappy (I didn't like Microsoft Gif Animator, there's no way to slow the animations down and images get dithered badly). I'm looking for one that will let me work in pixels but won't dither or distort the images when imported to the program from Paint. If anybody can let me know, I'd appreciate it LOTS. Thank you! Honestly, the search button is muy helpful. There's like ten trillion topics asking the same question.
![]() I think I'm being bitchy, so I apologize, but still... "search, then post" k? ![]() |

The GIMP can do animation pretty easily, it's a wee bit like a free PhotoShop. MS GIF Animator isn't dithering, that's an unfortunate side effect of saving in the one image file it can take in MS Paint; .gif. (Honestly, GIMP is great. I've also heard good things about Unfreez.)
