Project name:
The project is called 'The Avora Project (TAP)'.

Brief description:
We are still at the beginning of the project, but the major idea and organisation is done. The theme of the game is sci-fi. Once the game is in the testing status, the player can fight against monsters and even against other players. There will be quests which brings the player cool new items, exeperience and money. The whole game will be playable via a client on which the player can talk to other players. We plan to add a website feature as well. The player should be able to sell items, win items, manage his account online then.
You see, we have tons of ideas and possibilities to customize the project.

The game will be free to play and the source code is available for everyone.

Compensation:
For now, I don't offer a huge amount of money to the project, but once we may deserve money with the game, this will change and I'd be able to pay the developers.

Technology:
We decided to use the game engine 'Manaserv' as base. It uses the scripting language LUA.
Most of us use currently GIMP and Inkscape as pixel art programs, but it isn't your duty.

We need:
Primarily, we need 1-2 good Pixel Artists.
But if you aren't a pixel artist, don't be shy, everybody is more than welcome to help!

Team structure:
We are a small team at the moment. A website manager (which takes care about the whole website part) and two programmers which are both also pixel artists. I am one of the programmers.

Website:
The website is currently under construction, you can find it here: http://www.avora.org

Contacts:
If you want to contact me, there are several ways.
1. Send me a PM on the forums
2. Contact me via e-mail: der.loisl@gmx.de
3. Visit the avora IRC channel #theavoraproject @ FreeNode

Some pieces of art:
