Hi everybody,

I'm an individual (no company, no team either) game developer.
I've a lot of experience as hobbyst and, for my first commercial game, I'm currently working on a 2D roguelike game and I'm looking for good graphics.
I'm willing to pay (if I can afford that, of course).

Required sprites follows:

Dungeon Tiles
Floor, Wall, Door, Stairs Up/Down

Portraits
Hero and monsters portraits (the number of monsters is still undefined)

Items
Treasure Chest, Loot Icon

All graphics should be 64x64 pixels in size and 32-bit in colors.
No animation is required at all.
Probably more graphics will be needed in future such as game logo or menu background. Right now the above is sufficient.

I should start working seriously on this project in September.

If you think you can handle the work please post here the amount of money you would ask... The payment method can be agreed in future.

Thanks in advance for any answer

As you have no idea of how many sprites you need, I can't estimate how much compensation I'd want, but I'm sure we can work something out.

You mention 32 bit colors, but that's not really informative to pixelartists. Because 32 bit images have about 17 million color choices + alpha transparency.

Pixel artists only really care about the amount of colors used. Let's take my avatar for instance:
-black
-blue
-3x green
-3x skin
-transparency
So 9 colors in total (chosen from those 17 million)

How many colors would you go for per image approximately? 2? 10? 40?

It would probably be a good idea to do a quick google search to get an idea of what artstyle you want to go with. Cartoony/realistic/abstract/monochrome/colorful/etcetera, and to post some samples.

I understand your question. For the number of colors the answer is: use as many as needed to make it look good! The preferred style is "realistic" but i do accept suggestions and i am available to check your ideas before deciding on it. At the moment i'm writing this post from my phone so i am unable to paste links from google... I will do it later when i come back home. I hope this time it was clear.
