Hi!
I've just finished pixeling a new avatar image for me, using a webcam shot as reference: and my pixelart: I don't pretend to make a 100% translation, but an accurate portrait The thing that bothers me before calling it done is the way i'm using dithering. I'm using 25 colors, and i'm sure i could make it with less colors and better dithering... any tips or recommendations ( C&C is also accepted :-) ) ? Thanks! |

Likeness is actually pretty good :)
Usually the norm is not to dither flesh because it gives too much of a texture to it. Check out the pixelation project to see how others have treated portraits using this style. Notice the use of contrast which yours lacks a bit off. Just in case its for usage here. PJ avatars are 64x64 or smaller, k. Edited by jalonso - 28 August 2010 at 7:08pm |
