Position: Game Artist

Resbonsibilities:

As a Game Artist at Playfish China you will be responsible for creating outstanding art assets for one of our new titles, coaching junior artists and making sure the milestones are reached on time and according to our highest quality standards. You will be involved in the complete development process from start to finish, work on a variety of art assets (concept art, characters, environments, UI, animation...) and have a strong influence on our overall product.

We are looking for someone versatile, with strong foundation art skills, solid understanding of colour and the ability to take something from concept to completion. We believe that raw talent combined with a positive attitude is what is needed to make great games. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!

Requirements:

- Art degree or excellent game-focused portfolio
- 1+ year experience creating game graphics, at least one published title
- Good understanding of game development process (milestones, source control software, technical limitations, optimization techniques...)
- Willing to work in an iterative and agile process
- Strong foundation art skills, good eye for colour and proportions
- Able to adapt to different styles, particularly the ones used in our most popular games
- Excellent knowledge of Illustrator, Flash and Photoshop
- Good knowledge of 2D animation
- Some knowledge of 3D graphics (3DS Max preferred) is a plus
- Passion for games is a plus
- Ability to read, write and speak English is a plus
