Hello, I submitted a pixelart with the title "colorful face" and for some reason it has not been approved. Can someone please tell me why, 'cause I don't really see what's wrong with it? :)

it's likely that it just didn't accumulate a high enough score in the queue, and was sent back for this reason. this may have been due to the small size of the piece, inaccurate anatomy, or unfinished quality. not every pixel doodle is gallery worthy, sometimes a piece is good for practice but not really right for the gallery.
edit: oh, it wasn't sent back. pieces sit in the queue and accumulate votes to decide if the community thinks they meet the quality standards of the site. The best way to make sure your piece gets through is to improve it. high quality work passes through much more quickly, borderline pieces need community approval. You can make a WIP thread for critique on your work, and then resubmit it (if it ends up getting rejected, which current voting indicates is a possibility). Most of the time just showing that you put in earnest extra effort to improve/work on the piece will be enough to get it approved the second time. Edited by cure - 15 February 2011 at 12:35pm |
