He's pretty huge. I think most games don't have characters nearly that big. It doesn't look like he's been enlarged any, so I guess you just made a giant canvas to start with and didn't realize how big you were drawing?

For proportions his chest is too narrow and too short, while his legs are extremely long.

human proportions

The waist should be slightly above midway between the top of the head and the bottom of the feet, but it looks like you have it almost 3/4 of the way up. Also, the top part of his arm is rather long. The elbow should be almost exactly halfway between shoulder and wrist, with both the top and bottom parts of the arm equal in length.

The drawing is way too big to be a character sprite, you should try
and scale it down (a lot). If you look at the character and the original
game you would see how small they are.

Pixel art is all about drawing things small and seeing how much you can
cram into a tiny area. Good luck!

I known he was going to be big, when i drawn him but wow. I well resize him when i am done on proportions.

And on proportion. "his chest is too narrow and too short, while his legs are extremely long." How can i tell when he is in a suit, not even skin tight. But i well work on it thanks.

I did the arm size, but still don't know what you mean on "his chest is too narrow and too short".

Easy - figure out what the body would look like first (not detailed, just basic shapes) then put the suit on over it. Still got plenty of major anatomical problems, particularly that his legs and arms are way too long (Legs could probably be shrunk to half that height, and the waist is also really tall.

Use references for the body, and practice anatomy with traditional mediums (pencil and paper, etc). Anatomy is an essential piece of the puzzle when it comes to illustrating humans, just as cat anatomy is to people trying to draw believable cats.

I did this edit on the first drawing just because it's bigger and so easier to make notes.

The arrow is pointing at a shadow that makes it look like the waist is right about there. The way the suit suddenly widens after that point also suggests that's where the waist is. So, assuming that, the red rectangle I drew would be the chest area. The blue rectangle is about how big the chest should be, or close to that. That's basically what I mean when I say the chest is too narrow and too short. The black line is the middle is exactly halfway between the top of head head and the bottom of the feet. His waist should be a little bit above that and his groin a little bit below.

Here's some good examples of people in similar suits-

I may get this wrong but, here we go.

Well, i half-in the legs and yes i know i need to work on Anatomy. (lol thanks)
I also did what you said, and "try" to outline. And now i realize i got a gap i don't need. Arms later, on to waist. It should be in that box, right? If so, do i cut the chest?   because the chest area well be long, right?

If you can't draw anatomy, making the person look like they're made out
of different types of cylinders is a good idea.. although I'd encourage
you to take the anatomical approach, but just for this time I think the
cartoony way will be a good idea for now.

My animation teacher says that you should always draw the body then
the clothes to fit the body and not the other way around. :-)

Be for school start again. I'm just going to post this anyway. (it is still not good.)

Someone said something on my drawing, and the years of what the site said i had my "deviant". Well that is just that, i just started drawing so i am still new to drawing. So even if i did join the site 3 years ago, that do not mean i drown that long. (at that time i like looking at drawing and nothing more.)
