Pixel Joint Forum: The Young Ones Mockup

   For years now, I've wanted to make a game based on The Young Ones (weird, no?). I finally have the programming skills to do it. I'm a half decent graphic designer. It's time to lrn2pixel!!

This is my first true foray into pixel art. I've attempted two times previously, but only half-heartedly.

I'm going to be posting mockups here, starting with a title screen. Please, for the love of God, give me criticism.

	There's an issue right here- Instead of the step down being 3 pixels it's 4, so it throws off the alignment of that edge with the other edges between colors around it. edit- I just noticed 2 other places like that. Edited by tanuki - 27 March 2011 at 1:15am

	Thanks! I already remade that bit a few times, but I guess I needed that second pair of eyes to get it right. You'd think making a diagonal line like that would be easy, jeez. There, that's fixed. Made the diagonals thicker, reduced the colors on the gradient, and tweaked the blue to make it less vibrant. I'm going to get to work on the "CHOOSE YOUR CHARACTER!1!1!!L" screen. 	Someone else who likes the young ones!!!!11!!1!11!!!! What will the game entail? or is it a secret? As to the screen, i like the title but you might want to make the union jack more ragged(think anarchy in the uk) and maybe make the shadow more visible on the blue :)

The game will start by letting you choose one of the characters. Each character has their own story, and all four are intertwined. I only have two ideas worked out (for Neil and Vyvyan), but I'll manage something for Rick and Mike. Obviously, the game will be a series of references. Also, I'm totally grounded and can't get any work done. Don't tell my mother about this post.
