Hi,

My name is Josep and I'm new to pixel art and I want to learn how create this little amazing pieces of art :)

I programming a wargame and I want create the pieces using pixel art style.

I read some tutorials about how begin. Any suggestion about how start with soldiers style? The game is about the Indepence War ages.

You voluntarily fuzzied the one you drew?
Please note that it's probably a cheap way to "hide mistakes" : now this sprite is probably much harder to tweak and modify since the mix of sharp and blurry will look very ugly.

The examples that you show were not drawn in pixel art: They were certainly drawn as simplified shapes in much higher resolution (at least x3 or x4) using only solid brushes and colors, and then at final step an automatic reduction was performed. The final forms are slightly fuzzy when you zoom it. You can compare for example with the PJ ranks icon, which are super-sharp:

Pixel art allow more detailed drawings /pixelČ, while non-pixel-art allows more results in less time (though you only use the same skills and technique as drawing on paper, and don't learn anything new)

It's really up to you to choose one technique or the other. If you ask in this community, all will push you to pixel techniques of course
