I'm working with a friend on a top-down sci-fi shooter for the Xbox Indie Games platform. The game is tentatively titled "Derelict" and will put players in the dark corridors of space ships infested by aliens.

Unfortunately, neither of us are very good artists and have been unable to come up with a satisfactory alien sprite for our game. That is where one of you might be able to help us out. The size of the sprite needs to be at least 64x64 pixels, but preferably larger. Only two animations will be needed: walking and attacking. At the moment we're using 4 frames for each animation, but 8 will work if necessary. Here is a WIP screenshot. You'll notice there is an alien sprite that I made, but I do not like it. What the final alien looks like is up to your imagination. Design the baddest-ass alien you can come up with.

Payment can be negotiated, but seeing as how this is a nearly zero-budget project I can't afford to pay a huge amount. My starting offer is $40 for the complete, animated sprite. There may be opportunities for additional work after.

Please contact me with samples of your work (preferably relevant ones). I may then ask for an un-animated sketch or rough draft of the sprite to see what you have in mind for it. Then we can go from there.
