Hey everyone, I'm new here - my friend linked me to this site because he knows I like to do pixels, but to introduce my self my name is Justin I am 22 years old and I live in West Virginia. I just wanted to post some of my artwork and get everyone's opinion, you can criticize me all you like give me tips on anything I do wrong, it will be greatly appreciate - thank you!


- Picture I did of myself


- A picture I did of me and my ex-girlfriend.


- Here is a picture of myself that I did, here is the actual picture I copied from.



- Picture of an Xbox controller


- A picture I did for one of my old friends.



- Picture of a Christmas tree I was messing around with


- An outline I was doing for a friend of mine.


I had many more pictures on my old computer but unfortunately I don't have them anymore :(

well, in every piece is way too much colors. If you have many similar colors why not to use one of them if its not changing quality of the picture? Needs AA alot. There is pretty much jaggies on lines. Needs proper light sources and more intresting colors.

Otherwise very nice portraits and reads well. Oh, needs more contrast too :) There is good tutorias at "resource and support" section. :)

Most noticably in your tree piece, your colours are pretty bland.
They just go straight from light to dark like a gradient.
I think it's definitely worth checking out Cure's pixel art tutorial here.
Scroll all the way to the bottom and take a look at hue shifting.
Hue shifting really brings the pieces to life.
