That is very good. I'm not very good at critique, but i would hate for this to go on without a reply... The blue for the hair is very saturated, try lowering it from 240 to something like 200, or 180.

Dont use black on interior lines and it'll be a lot easier to read (not that its bad now, but could be better). In a few places (knee and shoulder) you did break the outline, and it looks better, so why not follow through everywhere?

The hair's shading seems a little pillowshaded too. makes it look flat and strange compared to the rest.

also, personally, I'd shrink the top left spike to be smaller than the one to its right. Give a good cone-ish effect to the hair. either that or make the 2nd one bigger. just looks odd to me for some reason.

edit: made an edit

The grey shade was really dull so I replaced it

also noticed in a few places of the outline it looks like you were antialiasing to the background. unless the sprite has a background its not generally a good idea, especially on a site like this, because people can have any number of colors in the background, so sprites aliased to a different color will look bad.

Welcome to Pixeljoint :)

Your first art post is nicely done for a first. Some things can be better and adjusted but this doesn't matter now as you submitted to the gallery.

The Pixeljoint WIP section is a great place for feedback and help as you are developing any piece. You'll find the PJ community helpful and willing to give you feedback. However, if you open a WIP thread and then right away submit to the gallery (we read that as finished) then people will just tend to ignore your threads after that. We are all pixelartists working on our own stuff and while taking breaks will chime in to help others but opening WIPs and submitting will hurt you most of all. Responses can come fast and in droves or slowly so you'll need some patience. Luckily, patience is a crucial part of pixelart so you should'nt have any excuses :p
No harm done as you are new so I'm just mentioning that for future reference, k.

I appreciate the time you put into redrawing it so i can see the difference in quality. I am planning add him to background and once i have time ill post it up so everyone can see my development. Thank you for teaching me a bit more about pixel art.

Wise advice. I'll make sure to submit it into the WIP section and upgrade it there, before posting it into the gallery. Thanks for the heads up.
