Well, this is a draft I did on paper in college, I watched my drawing in pencil and has played on the computer that he gave, I think the paper was more enjoyable, so I came here I asked for suggestions and tips for you to improve, is at the initial / draft I hope it ends with a great job.
Ask:
Identification: Note 1: Green teeth: They are a type of dirt, he is a guy who comes to your oral health, you can see the position of the teeth as well. Note 2: His eye has a certain type of cracks, cracks are not is that his eyes are getting red. I think that's all you have doubts, if they ask more about the piece that I will be here to answer. Thanks, waiting for the tips of the gods. |

If you're unsure of any terminology I will use, please visit Cure's
pixel art tutorial here.
You have a good idea of changing the color of your lines - but don't use black. Both pieces have a ton of jaggies, and so the lines aren't 'smooth'.
As a result I wouldn't attempt anti-aliasing until afterwards.
Inconsistent light source, see the hair and skin.
Palette could use some work, try hue shifting to create more visual interest.
Could hardly notice the highlight until I zoomed in, you need more contrast.
Your lines need should be 1 pixel thickness.
Maybe try reducing the size you're working at.
Good luck!
I cleaned a bit of your lines while still accommodating your style as an example. Edited by ChrisButton - 21 August 2011 at 3:15am |
