Greetings Markus INFO: Team name: Not yet decided Project name: 2D Engine SNES Style RPG Brief description: The Game will be a classic 2D RPG in the memory of Oldschool SNES Games like Final Fantasy VI, Star Ocean, Tales of Phantasia and Lufia. This means that we will develop turn based strategic fights, an open Worldmap to explore and a linear epic Storyline. All the stuff a classic 2D Rpg has in it. Until now, that’s all… So the sooner you join the more you can shape the game :0) Target aim: The vision is to create a Game, which brings the Old RPG Style back to the iPhone in the tradition as Zenonia did (even when I think that Zenonia was not THAT great ☺). The long-term goal is to establish a team ,which will focus on RPGs for Mobile Devices. The market is there and I am ready to conquer it. Compensation: You don’t expect money, …. (neither do I, but we will set up a contract, set IF we make money, everybody gets a piece of the cake) Technology: - Tile Editor is already up and working. It can load 2 different Tilesets, handle 3 Layers and a Collision Layer (Running on COCOA, so you need a Mac right now if you want to design levels) - Scriting Language is up and working. It has logical decision making like IF statemens, it can play animations and load entities like npcs in the level - Dialog system which offers tree structure of Dialogs. - The Core of the 2D Engine is running. The Player can walk, Collision Detection is running. Npcs are running around… It is, I would say, enough now to start building levels and develop ideas for the game.. - The Engine is written entirely in C++ and OpenGL from scratch, so it will be easy portable to Android. But first we will focus on iOS. It is a nicer environment to program for.. :0) Talent needed: - Level Designer / Scripter - 2D Sprite Artists - 2D GUI Artists - Musicians Team structure: Only me until now and a friend. I will program the Game and he will help me managing the team and doing administrational stuff.
