Hi
I see this image in the Web :
I try extract the Hat in this image but my noob brain dont make this work. The image is compress in JPG has changed a little sprite, if you do a zoom noticing. Could anyone help me extract just the helmet? Thx ^^ Edited by Xkipper - 29 October 2011 at 7:15pm |

Draw black over the non-hat pixels and you're done.

If the image you found was a jpg already then that's the problem. Saving as a jpg will always compress the image. Even if you save it again as a different type, like gif, the compression will still be there. I don't think there is any way to undo the compression. The best thing would be to find an original version of this that was not saved as a jpg.
