Needs much, much brighter highlights!
Also the sun is far bigger than real-life, considering the angle of view more or less implied by the foreground. I just posted this in another thread, might as well post it again ;) |

Well, you essentially did nothing about anything manupix said, but the palm tree does look a lot better at least
also, may be harder with this palette, but a strong directional light will create stronger, darker, longer shadows. I also cant see any break between the sand and water, or if theres water covering the whole area. |
