I am making these body types for a game I am working on. WIP obviously.
Some head anims, like open mouth to roar, an 'oooo' and a headback, (hit). ![]() |

Hi, this looks fine at the moment. I can't say much really about the animations unless you give us an example, but they do look well thought out.
Btw, the forum has a function for up scaling images when clicking on them, so really posting the image at its normal size would be better. It also makes it easier for us to see mistakes and/or edit. You've also saved this as a .JPEJ format, which is frowned upon in pixel art because it looses information. ultimately decreasing the quality and results in unwanted noise. Either save as .PNG or .GIF (Comes up as CompuServe on some software) in the future. |

Being a noob(your words)? Comes as a surprise to me after visiting your website. You have a lot of experience behind you which is great. Perhaps you're the one who has advice to give ;)
Still, there are few things you could look at. There's a bit of banding going on, on the left hand (it's right) and on the big toes. The lighting on the forehead makes the goblin head look flattened. I'd loose the bright green at the top and fill in the forehead with a slightly darker green and change the eye brows to the brightest green, otherwise there will be no contrast. For the green used on the forehead why not borrow the green from the hit back head?. Or are you restricted by a colour count? The sword to me looks odd at the tip, mainly when scaled up above x2 and above. The two pixels at the top split in two directions. But I think you can get away with it. Its late here, and a tired minds not going to work properly when writing. If you're confused with what I've said and you'd like an edit, I'm more than willing.
