That's incredibly small but looks like a good start.
I see 4 different planes at the moment. If you're going to animate it, parallax scrolling is the way to go! |

That's quite a lot of frames for a walking animation that small. I also don't like how he looks all the way to his right every couple steps. I would make him maintain his forward gaze a little more.
