Hi Everyone. We are holding "auditions" for a pixel artist to join our team. Here is a bit more about us:

1- Company Info:

We are a 4 men team consisting of:

1 Software developer(game engine) and project manager.

       1 C# tools developer.

1 Graphics designer (logos, concept art, etc.)

       1 Music composer.

2- Job Info:

We want a pixel artist to join our team mainly for:

Character sprite sheets, map tiles, GUI and assorted animations.

2- Paid or not? and salary info?

All of the team members will share the revenue generated after the  game is released.

3-  email addres: eralmo [at ] dynalmo [ dot] com

4- company website: That's where you come in, we have the domains and email accounts set up but the site is just a template while we get more assets.

5- previous projects: We had a few unreleased prototypes. But our main developer and project manager is a software engineer with over 4 years programming experience.

6- Framework: We are using XNA 4.0 and C# for the engine.

Here is a bit more about our project:

We are looking for a pixel artist to join our team and help us with char sheets reminiscent of the SNES' golden ages. We are working on a top down "open worldish" 2D game. It will be similar to A link to the Past or Secret of Mana with many side quests and a large world to explore(think skyrim). Sorry for dropping so many game names but it helps getting the idea across.

We started the project around march 2012 and it's our first formal game. So far we have accomplished:

-Player movement(attack enemies with sword or bow, collisions, animations, etc).

-Dynamic appearance of player and NPC(Recolor the hair, change clothes, body type, face, etc.)

-Base class for NPCs and enemies (Path-finding, movement, etc)

-Load and display maps, foregrounds and backgrounds from XML files made in "Tiled".

-Pixel shades for water effects and dynamic lighting(day/night cycle)

-Purchased and setup the web domain and emails for the team (website is just a template for now since we need more game screenshots and art)

-Game lore, basic story, some concept art, some side quests.

-Amazon micro cloud server for any use.(Right now it's being used as a Minecraft server and we can make it bigger if wee need to)

-Zoho project for collaboration.

-Lots more outside of the scope of this post.

We are pretty lenient and laid back. Some of us go to the university or have full time jobs so we are results based.

What we are looking for:

-Good quality 2D Pixel art 16bit style. (Not too cartoonish like a link to the past, a bit more serious like chronno trigger)

-Patience.

-Good communication(we speak English and Spanish so either one is cool).

-Passion for games.

-You don't need to do any programming or know anything about it. Our devs handle all of the coding.

-You don't need any previous game experience, just nice looking pixels.

-If you do 3D work or illustrations: bonus points, we have some 3D projects in the back-burner.

-We play Online games after our weekend meeting, if you want to join us we'd be glad to have you(we call it market research).

I can send screen shots but they won't do any justice since they are placeholder images from charas project and include ugly debug information in sad little test town.

If you are interested or want to know more, feel free to contact me:
