Is there anything minor in art that you absolutely can't stand seeing?

Personally, for me, it's when people treat blue fire as a light source when blue fire is supposed to be non-luminous

super realistic pieces. although, I should point out- I think most artists tend to want to draw realistically in the beginning (I wasn't an exception).. but after a while, you begin to see why super realistic kind of defeats the purpose of making art. because when you're able to make something look realistic for the sake of being realistic- what are you left with?

Really minor, but no shadows.

When something should have a shadow, but they only focus on the subject, I just reject it.

I hate "modern art". The really extremely abstract kind.
It's just (usually) not nice to look at.
Also not a fan of arrogant "country pride!" art.

Modern art is a huge catch-all category and doesn't actually describe a particular aesthetic. Maybe you mean abstract expressionism or something? Pollock et al are more properly appreciated within their art historical context. The history of painting is a conversation that one can't just jump in the middle of. I dunno what country pride art is, but if you mean folk art then I tend to agree with you, with some exceptions.

Yeah, the abstract expressionism is what I was talking about. Just couldn't remember the correct name for the brightly colored random blobs+lines paintings. I guess I don't have a big enough imagination to see the beauty in that. XD

I didn't mean modern art as a whole,  cause that would mean I hate all the wonderful pixelarts here, my own art, and other nice things.

Don't know if there is an appropriate word I can find to explain county pride art, but a majority of the students at the high school I attend draw either Manga, or war jets+American aircraft carriers+American flags+etc. Kinda just gets on my nerves that my fellow students don't go out of this America is the best comfort zone.
