I am looking for a pixel artist who can draw me some sprites of a Chinese Dragon. I am programming a remake of the classical video game Snake, and instead of a traditional snake I wish to use a Chinese Dragon.

This is the dragon that I have in mind (that's as snake-ish as it gets):

The constraints of the sprites are as follows:

  1. All the sprites must be of the top view of the dragon (i.e. the green scales can be seen but the yellow underbelly can not). They must all be square, and of the same size (at least 96x96 pixels).

  2.
  3. The body of the dragon must be divided into 4 parts:

  4.

    1. The first part must be the head of the dragon.

    2.
    3. The second part must be the body of the dragon which is near the head. It must be tileable so that the body may be extended arbitrarily.

    4.
    5. The third part must be the body of the dragon which is near the tail. It must be tileable so that the body may be extended arbitrarily.

    6.
    7. The fourth part must be the tail.

    8.

  5. The head of the snake must come in two variants: with an open mouth and a closed mouth.

  6.
  7. The second and third parts of the dragon must come in three variants: straight, bending to the left, and bending to the right.

  8.
  9. An additional sprite is required for the fire that the dragon breathes. Just one sprite would suffice.

I have already written the program for the game. Only these 10 sprites are required to complete it.

I'll include the name of whoever helps me with these 10 sprites in the credits screen.

Currently I am just starting out making a career in game programming. So I can't pay anyone yet. However if you don't mind waiting for a while then I don't mind paying you on a per sprite basis either.

I have a profile on Github and I'll upload the game on my profile once it's complete.

You may also see my other projects on Github, including the previous game I made - Kick and Dribble.
