Looking for a very open minded texture artist for a few 2d sci-fi ship textures (walls and hull)

I am working on a 2d game project where the player is able to design their own ship.  They do this by filling in boxes on a 2d grid. I then take the outline of the boxes they filled in and use it as a mask to cut out a section of a texture.  This becomes their ship walls.  I then use a tiled grid for the floor to complete the ‘internal’ ship design. Next I place another masked texture over this to create the outside hull of the ship.  I have examples of this process below. Keep in mind I’m using my famous programmer art for these. On top of the outside hull I will layer any equipment on the ship which should be represented on the outside of the ship. For example turrets, guns, missile launchers, etc.
I am looking for a texture artist to help me with two tasks.
1) Create a texture I can use for the walls.  See example below and file available upon request.
2) Create a texture I can use for the outside hull. See example below and file available upon request.

I am not sure if this can be done!  Since a texture has to be created that will allow unknown sections to be cut out and used as pieces on a ship the artist will have no way to know what part of what texture will be used where.  That’s where the open mind comes in.  It’s a challenge for sure but I hope to find someone that can take it on.
Some specifics on the textures (depending on price)
1024x1024 pixels in size OR 512x512 pixels in size

I’d like to stick with a darker color.  I’m not opposed to colors other than grey, but I don’t want something super bright
I’d like it to look somewhat complex without going overboard. My examples probably go overboard with too much static and chaos.
Finally, I am open to suggestions on how I can change this process to create a better look.  It’s still very much on the drawing board and I’m certain a better process exists to create a better looking end result.
Thanks for reading!
p.s. If anyone is interested I’m open via Skype, or email.  I’ll share the resources I’m working with as examples. We can discuss compensation (flat fee, not a stake of probably nonexistent profits! ideally PayPal).
