I use Photoshop but many are out there, even for free.
From the appstore you can get 'Paintbrush' which is nice.
Also GraFX2 is awesome. Theres a whole thread devoted to it right in this section of the forum.
The pixen posted above I've used but crashed a lot tho that looks like a new update so it might be worth trying as it is very friendly to new pixel pushers.
