Hey guys, I'm fairly new to pixel art. I've read just about every tutorial or related ramble I can find, but I figure it's time to actually practice. So here we go.
![]() Testing AA. The monitor I did this on is really old and I had the brightness up all the way but I guess it wasn't enough. Anyway I'll post an updated version in a minute. Or maybe not. I'm pretty busy tonight. Anyway you can see what I'm getting at for now. ![]() See, here we have the colors off again. And downright lazy dithering. Sorry folks. I'll fix that up too, while I'm at it. This one is pretty old - several weeks at least. ![]() Looks like the difference in colors didn't cause me too much trouble here. Anyway I've always thought the capital cursive L was the most beautiful letter. This one was the most recent; like last night. I think I'm improving! Took me forever though. So there we are guys. How am I doing so far? What should I be working on? Is there some standard setting for monitor brightness / contrast / colors? Also if anyone had any good iso tutorials - I mean ANY - please link them.

•Do check out cure's pixelart tutorial if you haven't done so already.
•There is no 'real' iso tutorial. All you need is the iso grid perspective and build from there. •All the images you posted above are .jpg files. Pixelart is never, ever in .jpeg format because they add artifacts and ruin the art. (click images to zoom in and see them). •Moving thread to the WIP section. |

- I have, thoroughly enjoyed it, as well as Helm's Ramblethread and several others.
- Okay, I guess it's all the same techniques applied to a different perspective? - I think Tinypic did that, they used to be bmp and png...just joined Imageshack, hopefully it'll be better. - Okay, thanks

Just use imgur.com. Also don't save as bmp; most of the hosts out there convert to jpeg. Best to save as png of gif (but don't save as gif in ms paint).
