I am confused on how my pixels are not approved. Each one has been done dot by dot. V.I.P. Top Hatter is done with a lot of detail and is being used as my profile icon and "I Love Snow" is a small 20x20 image again all done dot by dot. I would appreciate a mod looking at these and clearing them. They're in the guidelines of the rules. I did not use any gradiants on either image. It was all done dot by dot and making some dots lighter or darker than others. Below you will see both pixel images. First VIP Top Hatter and the next will be I Love Snow

Top Hatter has 217 colors.
Either you accidentally used the wrong tools (maybe <100% opacity? Soft brush instead of pencil?), or resized it, or saved it as a jpeg.
None of these are ok for pixel-art.

I Love Snow is probably too simple.
If you want to take the opportunity to improve it, this is the place! A few tips:
- it looks nothing like snow (assuming that was the intention), snowflakes have 6 branches not 8. Check some references!
- colors are meh. Decide of an atmosphere you want to convey and think up a palette accordingly. Again, use references for ideas, then look up tutorials in this forum for tips on building a palette.

Thank you for the reply~ it's more of a cookie shape is what I was going for~ But I can see how they thought it was supposed to be a snow flake itself~ lol Powdered sugar cookies pretty much~ lol I'll just remove the pixel image~ as for the VIP top hatter, it's not any of the things above~ I spent 2 weeks plus working on this pixel image doing different colors trying to get it to look the way it does. quite detailed and took a lot of hard work. It's only being used as my profile picture and nothing more but if I'm not allowed to do that, then I'll remove it as well. I've read through all of the rules that I can find and read through and I've not found that anything was wrong with these images, and yes again maybe the I Love Snow was more simple than they wanted, but again if these images are not allowed then I'll happily remove them. I just don't want to download anymore programs to my computer as it is~ I'm already using 3 paint programs. lol

You can use an image as avatar even if it's not accepted, no need to remove it.
Also it's not a matter of program, just of making sure you're using the right tools and settings (disable any softness feature, auto-anti-aliasing, etc in pencil, paint bucket, selection tools).
I still doubt very much you actually picked each and every of these colors, but even then, the general philosophy of pixel-art is parcimony! 12 or 16 colors might be a good goal here ;)
If it doesn't look like pixel-art when it's 100% hand pixelled, it's kind of missing the point.

And again, consider the main point of this website is helpitude ;)

Thanks but I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to know how to make a pixel image after joining the site~ I've been doing them for a long time as well as 3D Developing for about 9 years~ I recently ran into this site from another friend of mine that's on here and thought it would be a good place to show off the work I've done in the past~ But thanks for your input~
